I haven't read Horns yet but HSB is absolutely fantastic. Terrifying and surprisingly fast paced, there's basically a new plot twist on every single page. Compare this to his King's first book, Carrie, and he's already off to a better start than his father. This is going to be a hell of an interesting career to follow.
Yeah, Carrie is by far my least favorite/worst King book I've read. I'll definitely have to check out Joe's novels soon.

Totally agree. I suppose I liked it a bit more than Blaze though, but I don't really like counting such an obvious "trunk novel."

Have you heard of Drood by Dan Simmons?

Great book. I love 20th Century Ghosts by him, as well.

I just ordered it. I can't wait. I was reading some of the plot summaries for the stories and they sound absolutely wonderful.

I just got that for Christmas! How was it?

Most of us list the books we've read, but some also mention what they are currently reading.

I really enjoyed it! There were one or two weird things about it, but not bad... Just weird. It was really well done and extremely hard to put down- I had to order the next book in the series ASAP and can't wait to read it.

Got through 38 books last year, which makes sense when you put my addictions to YA fiction, pulp, and scifi/fantasy up against two death semesters at college.

Here's my Goodreads profile. Feel free to be my friend!

Currently Reading: The A-Men - John Trevillian

January
1. The Lost Art - Simon Morden

Both books I got for Christmas. I finished off my reading list backlog (which has existed in some mutation since 2007) on Christmas Day and ended up getting 11 books for Christmas so I'm glad to have more fuel to keep me going.
