06:42 AM on 01/09/13 | Life of Pi wasn't that great (IMO), Syfall was certainly better, but to me so was the Hobbit and The Dark Knight Rises, but I can see why they didn't get nominated.

06:48 AM on 01/09/13 | No real surprises here, but it's good to see Phoenix still picking up some recognition.

06:58 AM on 01/09/13 | Django really deserves a best film nomination in any awards show this year

07:31 AM on 01/09/13 | How is Jamie Foxx not nominated for best actor?

07:32 AM on 01/09/13 | Daniel Day-Lewis gonna be cleaning house again this year.
|
10:15 AM on 01/09/13 | Moonrise Kingdom and Beasts of the Southern Wild should definitely have more nominations imo

10:47 AM on 01/09/13 | Daniel Day-Lewis gonna be cleaning house again this year. |
It would honestly surprise me if he doesn't.
I'm not sure what would win Best Film out of these. Argo was my favorite out of the nominees, but I have still yet to see Zero Dark Thirty and Les Mis (seeing that tomorrow with the gf though). I'd probably give it to Argo personally, but you could make the argument for any of the films.

10:56 AM on 01/09/13 | I'd choose Argo of these for Best Picture, but Django and Argo are tied for me. Though I don't think Affleck deserves Best Actor recognition, while, again, being tied with QT for directing. Both Waltz and Leo deserve the Supporting Acting award. ZDT was well made, but it just didn't fully satisfy me; felt the same way about Hurt Locker. However, I'd have no issue with Chastain winning Best Actress.
