I couldn't care less that he cheated. But I'm deeply sickened by how he attacked people. Slandered people. Sued people. Financially crippled people. Ruined people. All in the name of his bullshit.

It's Not About The Bike was my favourite book for the longest time. Knowing he cheated to win every Tour de France majorly bums me out.

Unless he personally attacked you or someone you know, there's no need for the outrage. Now the people who got sued will counter-sue and it'll all come full circle. The dude had testicular cancer. I'm not saying he got what he deserved but I'm pretty sure he's suffering. Now instead of just physical pain, he'll endure emotional and financial pain after all of this. I think coming clean and telling the truth was the worst thing he could do in my opinion.
Lying is definitely not cool. But Lance and his image made tons of people's lives better and Livestrong still does so. Not to mention that the 'drugs' he took were substances you and I are literally producing right now. I can't believe how few people see that banning "performance-enhancing drugs" is by definition an anti-progress agenda. With the right funding (see: sports salaries), these drugs can get a lot more effective and more importantly, a lot safer.

Fair point. I'm not outraged per se, just hold this in a different light than, say, Barry Bonds.

I can't tell how serious you are, but I hope you realise that comparison isn't apt. Participating in porn isn't a competition in and of itself, and breast implants aren't against any regulations. Anyone who really subscribes to what you expressed is comparing an unnatural thing in one context to another unnatural thing in a different context and figuring that thing = thing. It's a fallacy; a sweeping generalization, and it's ridiculous to think it has merit.
I liked believing that someone who had cancer was able to recover and make it back to the top, but oh well. He may have pulled some really underhanded crap, but LiveStrong has been really inspirational to my mom in her fight against cancer, and I can't be mad at that.
