There is a big difference between wearing a band shirt and wearing a shirt that, at least in this day and age, amounts to making a political statement.

I mean, its all very likely that there is a double standard here, but I'd rather wait and see all the facts before jumping to any conclusions. If there wasn't any sort of dress code and other people routinely wore political shirts then of course this is a problem. If there were clear guidelines on what to wear / not wear then the guy is just an idiot who was looking for trouble.

I remember this venue as the free cigarette venue. They confiscated underage kids' smokes at the door and would let the bands playing split them up. Sorry off subject.

I really find Hostage Calm's stance annoying, and I'm all for equality. When I saw them they played for 20 minutes and ranted about this for 30 minutes. Then I couldn't just buy a Hostage Calm shirt, all they had was the "I Support Same Sex Marriage" stuff. I just think it's kind of an abuse of their platform. Plus their music is pretty uninspired and makes me think they just do it for this kind of thing.
