Fandalism, TuneCore, CD Baby Change Up Prices

Posted by: Jason Tate (01/24/13)
Fandalism, TuneCore, and CD Baby have all changed their pricing for putting your music up on digital services. Fandalism has it set up so that you can upload one song for free after becoming a member, and for $19.99 a year you can get your (unlimited) music to iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. TuneCore has dropped their price to $29.99, and CD Baby has dropped their cut from 25% down to 9%.

TuneCore was $50 last year. I couldn't afford to renew all my EPs due to the ridiculous pricing. This is a lot better.

I know TuneCore will provide everything they say they will but I'm not sure if they have any hidden charges. They seem like a place that will jerk you around now. A lot of people use TuneCore though. I never had a problem with them when I had my music up.

From this it seems like Fandalism would be the way to go. I mean $20 a year for unlimited releases is much better than paying $30 PER RELEASE.

I'll have to look into it more though.

Awesome, well thanks for the input. We're releasing two EPs this year and I was thinking $20 a year, regardless of how much was almost too good to be true.

CD Baby is the best. Been using them for over 10 years.
