In his defense, Volumes is not even close to being in the same scene as Hostage Calm (the story was spread around mostly by pop punk/punk bands) so it's possible for him to not even be aware.Regardless, it's still inexcusable for someone to physically attack him.

So clearly we have a venue run by a vocally anti-gay management, security who jumps bands, and a scene with homophobic individuals sending death threats. I'm not sure what other venues exist in Nashville, but I suspect tours will be purposely skipping this city for some time to come.

Given the nature of the recent incidents involving Rocketown, it's worth mentioning For Today is playing there in March.

I find it interesting that the promoter didn't say why Barr was being removed from the venue. I mean, if anyone should know, it would be him.
