I was trying to decide if that was an intentional design feature or just a tear for about half of that video.
He also brought up an interesting point about bands turning to other companies for funding of their recording efforts - like the Gap, or Levis - in lieu of the traditional label advance. This was after he sort of denounced Kickstarter because he preferred Artists to make the first move before he gave them his money. However, I think if it was a choice between those two methods of getting money to make a recording - getting your band funded by some company or getting it funded by a fan base - I would choose the latter. |
I agree. Though he didn't necessarily say he agreed with the whole "Levi's/Gap/etc." sponsorship he just noted that type of funding is in existence and he believes will become much more prevalent. It's already pretty prevalent in music videos.
