nyc is fair game? i'd be surprised if that were the case....because the festival has to see it this way, why would paramore fans pay $100 to see them at S&S if they could pay $40 to see them at Hammerstein. I remember Motion City Soundtrack were on Bamboozle/Skate and Surf years ago and played the Stone Pony two months before the festival. Talked to Josh at the show about it and I remember him saying because they were playing the festival they couldn't play a larger venue. Hidden in Plain View dropped off a Less Than Jake show at Starland Ballroom in April because they were also playing Bamboozle the next month and weren't allowed because of the proximity rule. I don't remember bands having to drop off of NYC shows, or skip NYC because of playing festivals. Swore it was just NJ.
