I agree. As a longtime fan ... the new stuff doesn't do it for me in the same way.

It's because Steve had a massive influence on the band's sound. Also, this is going to sound really bad but the music was better when everybody in the band was addicted to heroin.

I agree that the songwriting has gone downhill, but Leighton's voice will always get me. I generally love anything he sings on.

On a side note, weren't there supposed to be tour dates today as well?

This is so far from the truth, man. Leighton was always one of the main songwriters, he's only missing Steve. Maybe the album doesn't compare to "Illuminate" or "One more..." but these are still fantastic songs.

If you don't like being a hater, stop hating then and appreciate it for what it is: Great Music. If you don't like it, move on.

EDIT: This sounds more mean than I meant it to come off. I just like the song. I agree it isn't Illuminate, but I don't think "downhill" is the term I would use.

Good song. I guess I'm one of the few who has loved everything post-Illuminate.
