From what I've heard (Number City, The Hard Sell, Dark Side of Me, Sentry, and Gravity's Union), Ascension pulled down its pants and took a giant shit all over Descension. Ascension is faaaaaaar better than Descension. The Hard Sell is one of the worst Coheed songs ever. Number City is pretty sweet, Dark Side of Me is good but not close to Coheed's greatest and Sentry has never sat that well with me. It's just too average for me and them. Gravity's Union starts off really shitty and the first verse is too generic radio rock sounding but the song picks up a lot and is better than the other ones I've mentioned. I'm sure the album will grow on me more but Ascension is by and far the better of the two. |
Completely disagree. "The Hard Sell"'s not great but the other four are better than anything on Ascension but to be fair I really didn't like Ascension.
