I'm giving away a pair of tickets to Further Seems Forever's show at the Gramercy Theatre next Friday, February 8th, in New York City. Just post your favorite song off the band's latest album Penny Black and why. I'll pick a winner later tonight.
"Janie" because it's a completely new sound that the band has never experimented with before. It also has a little bit of Dashboard influence which I'm completely okay with. Everything Chris does is genius.
That being said, right under my username is a quote from one of my other favorites off the record, "Way Down."
STARING DOWN THE SUN!!!
ive loved this band forever.
this whole new album is simply amazing. just listened the whole morning to the first then right into this album and it just matches so well.
I'd give anything to go to this show!
Rusted Machines because it's a total jam, has great dynamics, and the last minute just fucking dominates. The way the bridge builds up into the outro is awesome and it's impossible to not sing along. Big sound, almost like an anthem.
If I'm the winner I'll give the tix to a friend in NYC so don't exclude me!
So Cold as it was the song that brought back a band I thought I'd never get the opportunity to see live.
And then Sandy happened. And my ticket got refunded. And I was back to thinking I'd never get to see them play this song or any others.
