Finally got around to listening to the album from front to back. I absolutely love it! Musically, it's stellar. The vocals really aren't that bad after the initial shock wears off. I will say that I wish "Baby Shakes" was not te first song I heard. Several others would've left a much better first impression. Still, solid album.
I heard absolutely nothing about this band/entire viral campaign until it was over and saw something on twitter from Homola or someone I follow and decided to check it out. I didn't know about the Brand New connection whatsoever. I listened to a few songs on Spotify and forgot about it, sort of indifferent. For whatever reason I revisited it on Spotify yesterday and I actually really like it so far now that I've given it a proper listen. I think the production is great more or less throughout. Vocals are way better than the response people are giving them on here. "Kin" and "Baby Shakes" are my personal favorites. The rest is still growing on me, but I bought a ticket to see them next week in Boston regardless. Overall, thumbs up.
