apparently 400 cap according to this chicago venues tumblr I looked at.

also, the very beginning of the song (before the 'oh's) sound like a sleigh bells song.

400 is generous. That place feels full when you have 250 in there. So bummed I couldn't get tickets

Hmm wasn't expecting this today, was hoping when they got back, they'd get all this kinda stuff outta their systems and might start sounding like From Under or atleast Infinity again, but something's better than nothing, catchy song, probably going to be huge.

It's a logical progression, not a phase. They'll still have pure pop punk tracks I'm sure

I've been trying to win tickets for tonight's show. Listening to alternative rock radio is almost unbearable.

I thought about showing up, but $100 isn't even gonna get you in. It's sad.

This song has grown on me more each time I've played it today. It's by no means one of their best, but you can hear how this is a natural progression of their last 2 efforts. This is essentially the "Arms Race" of 2013. It just is more inspired by the currently popular music of today. The whole album isn't going to sound like this song. Just like IOH didn't sound only like Arms Race and Folie didn't sound only like I Don't Care.

My favorite band is back. I pre-ordered my package. I'm so gleefully happy right now.

IMHO, it's the best first single since Sugar. I definitely thinks its better than Arms Race and I Don't Care. It's just undeniably catchy.

Still real pissed I couldn't get tickets for tonight. That's going to be an UNREAL show.

Start from the beginning.

Take This to Your Grave
From Under the Cork Tree
Infinity on High
Folie a Duex

No sense starting in between.

+1

Just realize that there are really professions from one album to the next and everyone will view albums different. If you don't like TTTYG then you might really like FUCT or IOH (in my mind they are a similar "type" of album). Folíe will feel a little further in the other direction.

I'm also still wondering if people early this morning (the picture looks like it was taken at like 6 AM) drove by and were wondering why Fall Out Boy were in a field burning records.

Or I think it would be weirder if they had no idea who these people were and they just saw four grown men getting photographed burning records.

Old Comiskey isn't exactly a neighborhood you'd find FOB fans casually hanging out. If they wanted somewhere no one would see, it's a good choice

Fall Out Boy were way bigger than fun. were back in the day in everything from press to album sales. I may be bias cause I thought Some Nights was terrible but I really doubt it has to do with anything here. They are a indie pop bad that got popular over a few singles. Not sure what their future career is like but it does seem bright. Fall Out Boy kept the fall rolling for quite some time and honestly I think its fair to say they just needed a break.

Fun. is easily as big now as FOB was when Sugar came out.

Exactly, doing just what FOB excelled at with "Folie...",
Does FOB even have a platinum record?

Yes, they have a platinum record. And no, Some Nights doesn't sound like a FOB song (IMO). But I could see why you might argue that

Yeah, isn't Comiskey in the "tough" part of town, or am I imagining that?
Either way, would be funny if these guys were found out haha

There are a lot worse parts, but it's still considered south side. You'd be fine down there but there really isn't any reason to be.

They'd be spotted in a heart beat in any northern suburb park area.

At some point they have to acknowledge the 10th anniversary of TTTYG.

New album drops on the 10th anniversary.
