incredible, descension is great, possibly the better of the two... but the afterman as a whole is an amazing experience. for those who haven't heard the demos... look up "Random Reality Shifts" its a 5.5 min prog epic in accoustic form, super bummed that it wasn't given the studio treatment, but even the accoustic demo adds a lot to the album. also, i absolutely love Pretelethal.

Fantastic album. I loved Ascension so much that I honestly didn't know if Descension would surpass it. But good lord... It certainly did.

This entirely and I think it's directly related to Josh being in the band. I still love NWFT and YOTBR but The Afterman is just fun again.

So, can I buy both albums in a deluxe package or something?

it is very catchy sometimes, and also epic, how is this possible, I don't know, but as for me it also matches their highest.. Overall great album!

The ending of Sentry reminds me of old school Coheed when Claudio was hitting those notes non stop. Congrats to the band for making their best album since GA1!

There are some really great songs on this album. The beginning of pretelethal sounds like a 3 song, but the rest of it is repetitive and loses me, but Sentry wins me back. Number City is fuckin crazy! Kinda sounds like a Prize Fighter song that for fleshed out into a full band thing. Gravity's Union sounds like they were forcing out a prog-rock song, not so into it. But I love how this album ends with a upbeat song, kinda different vibe for Coheed. All and all a great album.

I love the fact that Coheed and Cambria can pull off flat-out pop songs without abandoning any of their signature sound.
