Not much to really go off but it definitely had a harder vibe than anything on SM. MO will never disapoint, I would pre-order this album and the album that follows right now if I could! Love this band so much!
It's strange cause what very very little we heard in this sounded really heavy, and in the release announcement for the Thrice split Andy mentioned at the end that the new MO stuff was a lot darker and heavier than anything they've written before. On the other hand, when I saw RAGC in Baltimore in July, Andy played an acoustic version of a song he said would be on the next MO album and it sounded like Deer Pt. II- slightly twangy and lyrically hammered.
How does that make them sellouts? I would hope that their new stuff sounds different from their old stuff. It's called progression. And how can you make a grandiose statement like "SELLOUTS" from a 3 second clip?
How long have you been on the internet? Sarcasm bro.
