Jake is definitely still in the band. Sucks about Scottie though. Derr and Cory will have to pull their weight on guitars. Speaking of Cory on guitars, I'm glad he decided to write instrumentally with the band ever since The Anti-Mother.

This sounds awesome. Really excited for the new album and I'm curious as to what type of evolution the band will take.

And I will agree most Norma Jean shows haven't been too exciting recently. Last time I saw them was on the BTMAKTC anniversary tour, and there wasn't much movement at all. I think all of the old fans are just getting old.

That nasty little breakdown at the end sold me. Stoked.

I didn't see him in the video. He wasn't on their last (couple?) of tours either. Since I didn't see or hear about him being in the studio with them, I just guessed that he wasn't in the band anymore. I'm not sure why Scottie isn't playing with them anymore, but now that he and Chris Raines are both NOT in NJ anymore, Spitfire should totally re-form.

To answer everyone's question's about attendence and everything.

This show was announced very last minute: announced and confirmed last Friday, and it happened on Monday. The show's attendence was 100+, not shabby for a few tweets and a facebook post as promotion.

The show goers were also friendly and receptive to the new songs and went haywire to the older material they played.
