I liked Recovery alot, made up for the previous 2 albums far as I'm concerned. Just wish Rihanna wasn't on Love The Way You Lie so the song didn't get played to death.
I hope it sounds like his earlier stuff. I'm talking Infinite here
You really think someone would go back to a style he hasn't used in nearly twenty years?
Anyway, either the album was miraculously kept a secret and nobody has heard about it until now or I'm just really out of the loop. I'll give it a listen, but I'm expecting to hate it.
I'm looking forward to it, Recovery had a few problems (too poppy, terrible puns) but the subject matter was a definite step up, making it his best since Eminem Show.
Yeah that's great for non USA who wouldn't have a clue when Memorial Day is
Or even us Americans (even though I live abroad) who can never remember when holidays like Memorial Day or Labor Day are. Good thing I couldn't care less about Eminem.
recovery was indeed a solid comeback and a fairly respectable release, but people are being a little enthusiastic about it. we all know, no matter how much we want to deny it, that it doesn't come anywhere close to the first three albums. recovery was mainstream pop rap, through and through. it didn't have any of the bite, or really even the overall flow, that made him so awesome. honestly, i think you guys are doing all of us a disservice by being so optimistic about recovery - you're making em think that what the hardcore fans want is more of this pop rap, and we don't - we just lowered our expectations.. this next one's gonna be more of the same, guaranteed, and it's your fault.
