Press ReleaseFeb 11 - Today, Ephrata, PA, metal quintet Texas In July is premiering their new music video for "Bed of Nails" - off of their recently released self-titled album. The video can be viewed on Youtube and on TexasInJuly.com. The music video was co-directed by Kevin Cross and Brad Golowin of Thunder Down Country (Miss May I, Memphis May Fire, Asking Alexandria) and filmed in Ohio.

"There is a very distinct guitar part in this song, triggered by the infamous whammy pedal," states lyricist/bassist Ben Witkowski of "Bed of Nails" - a clear stand-out track on the album - and one of the band's most impressive songs to date. "I remember when Christian [Royer] wrote this part in studio and it's like our world as a band spun around. One different thing after another on this record, and this song was the icing on the cake." He continues, "We're very excited for "Bed of Nails" to be our first music video off of the self-titled record. We had a ton of fun creating this song and watching it grow, can't wait for everyone to see this!"

Last week, Texas In July partnered with AltPress.com for the exclusive premiere of a behind-the-scenes look at the filming process for the music video. The video, filmed by Jandy Zapata, can be seen HERE.

The band is currently on a massive North American tour with Of Mice & Men, which wraps up tomorrow night in Chicago, IL. The band will venture out on a Canadian tour with Structures’ this Spring, with additional support from Northlane and Intervals. All upcoming tour dates can be seen below. Tickets for the Canadian tour are on sale now.

Texas In July's explosive new album was recorded with Will Putney [For Today, Chiodos, Life Moths To Flames] at the Machine Shop Studios in Belleville, NJ and is now available via Equal Vision Records through iTunes, Amazon, MerchNOW and at retail stores such as FYE and Hot Topic.

The self-titled effort has received rave reviews around the world with UK outlets Big Cheese Magazine declaring them as “true champions of the scene”, Rock Sound noting, “…from the post-rock instrumental ‘Repressed Memories’, to the pummeling deathcore blast beats on ‘Black Magic’, to the samba sounds that punctuate ‘Cloudy Minds’ (featuring August Burns Red’s Matt Greiner) this is the work of a band successfully striving to make metalcore original and fresh,” and Kerrang! simply expressing the core of what makes the album so refreshing: “It’s crisp, accomplished and heartfelt.” The US too has taken notice of the quintet with Substream Music Press boasting, “Texas In July is an eleven track showcase of the band meeting and exceeding its potential, as the band improved significantly in areas from technical prowess to song composition…the guitar work throughout the album from Christian Royer and Chris Davis is inspired…there’s a maturity and sophistication present throughout.”
