I would think it would stabilize eventually . Either way, a full-time job should not allow you to still be below the poverty level. Attaching it to something allows, the minimum wage to change more frequently and more accurately as opposed to waiting for congress and the White House to do something.
Has anybody ever proposed raising the minimum wage for those who work full-time, rather than high school kids? I know the vast majority of companies would still work around it (ie make somebody work 39.5 hours), but... maybe some wouldn't?
Maybe a tiered system for the minimum wage?
Wouldn't that cause companies to just hire more high school kids, making it harder for adults to get jobs?
