My avatar is a picture of Nightcrawler from X-Men, whose real name is Kurt Wagner, and he is from Germany. I also took 5 years of German throughout High School and University, and have also been to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I would say I know conversational German, but I haven't used it in quite a while, so I doubt I would still be able to do so.
I'm curious to know whether the "punk" sub culture still exists anywhere
I see a lot of these videos by older punk bands with a teen like in this one all punk'd out, but I never see anyone under the age of 25 dress like that anymore. I feel like that subculture is dead for youth, at least it is in Toronto
me in my room? I wish i were that punk - but punk subculture still exists in southern california. Not like it was in the 80's, but I'd say at least once or more a week, depending where I am, I see someone dressed like this.
Wouldn't mind seeing Bad Religion on Warped again. Pretty sure they're slanted for it with this release.
As for the punk subculture, as upthepunx says, it's still alive in SoCal, although not as apparent. I recently met a lot of more punk based people in my past year at college, a few who dress like this to say the least.
Of all places, it's alive in Delaware. Our scene wavers from time to time, but shows are pretty regular, bands are pretty good, and young kids are still into the old school.
