I'm going to assume it's not the synths putting people off (especially after Phrazes For The Young) and more the vocal delivery.

Meh, "Under Cover of Darkness" was a much better lead single. This is just... decent.

"one way trigger" took awhile to grow on me but i like that one as well, here's to hoping the new album lives up to that awesome, retro album cover

im not even looking forward to this record anymore, and really that is so depressing, because they used to make every band out there seem like a joke. now they're just another one of those bands, which I mean they are still good, but it hurts to know how great they could be if they just got their shit straight.

i miss the reckless drunk guys that told the seedy stories of growing up in new york city. i'm all for experimentation, but all the fun that used to be the main ingredient of this bands energy is completely gone.

julian needs to be the primary songwriter. that's the way their chemistry works the best. he just has to pull his head out of his ass and realize phrazes for the young was a flop 4 years ago. no one wants any more of that.
