jack seriously is one of the nicest dudes i have ever met. i will never forget seeing steel train in little rock a few years ago. they had just played their first bonnaroo which i believe at that point was one of the biggest shows they had ever played, and then they had a show in little rock that i swear to god me and my friend were the only people there to see them. the other roughly 10 people there were either staff at the restaurant or family of the local opener. they all came over and thanked us for coming out and jack played for me and my friend out back to thank us for coming out to see them. i cant imagine many of my other favorite artists going that far out of the way to thank two dudes who showed up to see them. my taste in music has changed over the years, but i will always preach about how nice jack and evan have always been to me. same with will noon. dude always would have like a 10 minute one on one conversation with me. great guys and i am extremely happy for their success.
I hardly got a "cock-rock" vibe from "What the Fuck" when they played it at the Nile back in the day. I hope that song sees the light of day, it was so much fun live.
with that being said I didn't really love Some Nights. huge fan of Aim & Ignite though. looking forward to what they make next. it'll be nice to see the direction this album goes after all the success.
