When I first listened to Daisy I immediately got a Nirvana vibe.

Crazy it's been 19 years since his death. I remember that day vividly.

Daisy does have a strong Nirvana element to it, for sure.

Unplugged is so haunting to listen to. Kurt would still be relevant. He would have kicked heroin and Courtney. He'd probably be reclusive a la brand new and Jesse. He'd probably have had multiple projects and Nirvana as it was would be over and maybe back from hiatus already.

Just listen to Title Fight and Basement's new albums and see if grunge is still relevant. They're exposing this generation to some of the best music of the past decades, among which Kurt is the fucking king.

I don't get the point of recognizing "would be birthdays" of celebrities or people who are not close to you. Who cares if it would have been his 46th birthday? He didn't make it to 46 or anywhere close. It's not like his life was tragically taken from him or cut short. He made a personal choice, and one that definitely shouldn't be celebrated.

The post didn't say "we're celebrating Kurt Cobain's suicide". The point of this is clearly to celebrate his life and the impact he had on the music scene.

That I do realize. Sometimes, things don't have to be stated explicitly in order for it to be possible to infer them. The original news post - "Kurt Cobain Would Have Been 46 Today" - makes no mention of celebrating his life or music. I was making the connection between a post made on the anniversary of his birthday and the fact that he took his life today a number of years ago. That can be seen as "celebrating" Kurt Cobain's decision to commit suicide. Hopefully you can see that.

so can we not mention anything related to the fact Kurt is dead, because of how he died?

Honestly, that seems pretty silly.
