Yeah, I have to agree with this despite being a huge Slayer fan. They're getting there in age and without both Jeff and now Dave, what's the point in even seeing them after that loss? They had a good career and Reign In Blood will be a metal staple for years to come, why not walk away and leave behind your legacy?

I will say that Gary Holt did a hell of job filling in for Jeff when I saw them at Mayhem last year

Most definitely, Gary is an excellent guitar player but he'll never truly replace Jeff.

I don't think Jeff's "out of the band" but he has been recovering for a long while now, and I recently read that they didn't have any idea when he would be back.

That being said, does anyone know who's playing guitar for them on tour... Isn't Gary Holt playing with Exodus on the Metal Alliance tour (not sure if the dates coincide with the Slayer tour or what?)
