I have always enjoyed The Gin Blossoms.
Majority of their singles were legit.
Out of all the 90's bands they were one of my favorites.
Anyone else into them?

Empire Records is a legit movie and I know a lot of people relate them to that movie because of the song they had in it.

Whispers at the bus stop, I heard about nights out at the schoolyard.

I'm a fan too. I still listen to New Miserable Experience and the Best Of every once in awhile. Very nostalgic.

The songwriter who wrote most of the hits on New Miserable Experience killed himself, he also got kicked out of the band before they were finished recording the album.

A few friends I know saw them a few weeks ago. GB just happened to show up to the same bar after the show and my friends said they pretty much experienced the same thing.

the only good songs they have are songs written by the ex guitarist who did indeed kill himself.

"Follow You Down" is still my jam. I prefer Everclear though, when I want 90's alternative rock stuff.

That's not true.

And everyone knows that. I don't know people keep posting about it like it's breaking news.

I'll drink enough of anything...to make this world seem new again

New Miserable Experience is one of my favorite records of all time. That album is leagues ahead of all the other 90s alt-rock/pop stuff these guys always get lumped in with.

+1

Before I heard NME (cracks me up every time), I only bought CD singles. New Miserable Experience was the first album I got that I could listen to without skipping any tracks.
