Now you're confused because I only indirectly stated what I meant, but it's ok haha.

I'm saying music that is driven to success by image (hence image-based) as opposed to musicianship is patently ridiculous, not that having an image itself is.

Totally agree with In Reviere. As far as recent stuff, the new Band of Horses album Mirage Rock. I don't think it is as good as Infinite Arms but the way the critics just tore it apart was unfair.
