I really do like Amanda Palmer, one of the most interesting and connected people in the business. She is certainly in her own little world and not very professional though.

Plus "Theatre Is Evil" was one of the best albums of last year, it ruined music for me for a long time and it was the only thing I would listen to. Kind of like "II" - Bad Books did.

Really interesting talk. Not sure if I agree with her yet or not, but definitely interesting to hear.

speaking about it =/= speaking for it

can't believe people are still so butthurt about this whole thing. (not even talking about you, just in general) every single one of her backers chose to give an artist they support the money that they did.

You can definitely see the million dollars didn't come out of nowhere. She fostered some deep connections with her fans.

I totally read that as Crowd Surfing, and got super excited but also wondered why someone would do a TED talk on that...

Probably my single most favorite artist. I've been a fan of hers continually longer than any others...
She makes connections with her fans other artists can only dream of!
