It sounds like Mae...

Pretty good album though.

I love every song.

It sucks to feel this way because I loved MAE so much, but I'm not into this. I didn't like one of those tracks. I still hope this is successful, Dave is a great guy and certainly deserves it.

every song on this record is great

but half of them are just brilliant. Dave really tapped into some unique and awesome sounds, especially tracks 2-5

hahah I think this barely sounds like Mae, other than Dave's tendency to write some similar melodies.

the only real Mae carry-over though, at least that I noticed, is that the drumming on this record is extremely similar to (m)orning and, in particular, (a)fternoon

Dave only touched up drum tracks for this album, so he may have borrowed sound samples from those sessions.
