Love Neil Gaiman SO much. Just finished "Smoke and Mirrors," a bunch of his short stories.

Never read anything of his but a friend once told me about him, except called him Neil Diamond. I was very surprised that Neil Diamond wrote fantasy books. Don't know why I felt like sharing that...

Because it's hilarious, perhaps? :) Sounds like something I would accidentally say.

I really disliked American Gods while I was reading it. I don't really have a clear idea as to why. However, it has stuck with me more than almost any other book. I think about it a lot, and I compare other things I'm reading to it. Maybe it was just the ultimate grower or something. I feel like I need to go back and reread it, at the very least before the HBO(?) series gets started.

One thing I do know for sure is that Gaiman wrote by far the best 11th Doctor episode of Doctor Who.

Are you referring to "The Doctor's Wife" episode about the Tardis, maybe? That one was pretty great.
