Great review, particularly the introduction portion. I couldn't agree with those sentiments more, and the feeling of discovering the right album at the right time is one of the most powerful and invigorating feelings in the world.
Really can't wait. The raw sound of "I Will Still You Back" is still something I'm trying to get used to, so I hope it doesn't really distract me when digesting this record.
To me, there's a distinct difference between "raw and live" and "muddy", and "I Will Steal You Back" belongs in the latter category, which is unfortunate, because I think it's a great song.
Wow, the staff reviews have been fantastic lately...this was no exception, and it definitely solidified me picking up this record on the 11th if I don't pre-order it tonight. Couldn't be more excited for June, next to City & Colour and Citizen.
I am very relieved to hear that the production serves most of the songs better than it does 'I Will Steal You Back'. That song would benefit from a little polishing up, but I think the production sounds great on the song 'Damage'.
