It was their stoner-rock departure opus. Everything's supposed to be weird. The riffs on "Dangerous Animals" & "Potion Approaching" are undeniable. Their B-Sides are perfect. Brand New is my favorite modern band, but Arctic Monkeys are a close second. Please tell me you've seen the video for "R U Mine?". The rock, and the humor, and the sludge are just amazing. No one can come close to their full discography.
As far as SI&S goes, the uppers (All My Own Stunts, Brick x Brick) are so fun. The second half of the record captures some of Turner's best heartache with tracks like Laserquest & Piledriver Waltz. Jamie (guitarist) loves Queens Of The Stone Age and I think it's helped mold the awesomeness that is their latter dead-pan albums.
