Video Premiere - A Great Big Pile of Leaves -...

Posted by: Lueda Alia (08/22/13)
AP.net and Made of Chalk have partnered up to bring you a series of live videos that Chalk TV shoots at various shows in Chicago. Since many people don't have the time or means to attend many of these shows and watch their favourite bands perform, we figured you might all enjoy these gems. Or perhaps some of the videos will prompt you to go see these bands live, because they most certainly deserve your attention. Now onto business, because the first video up is a great performance by A Great Big Pile of Leaves, who recently released one of the catchiest indie-rock albums of the summer titled You're Always On My Mind. So head to the replies to watch the AP.net premiere of "We Don't Need Our Heads," from their critically acclaimed debut Have You Seen my Prefrontal Cortex?, and let us know what you think.

For those of you who don't know, Made of Chalk is a site that I launched this past February. Many AP.net staff members and readers joined my little adventure, so we very much share the same community.

I'm excited that we're going to bring a lot of these videos on AP.net from now on, because Chalk TV is our main focus and I think you'll all enjoy these videos! Can't wait to unveil more of these on here in the coming weeks and months. Keep an eye out for them, and in the meantime, take a look at some other sweet videos when you have the time!

When they performed this at the release show a few weeks back, the audience rushed the stage and screamed out the end. The stage was so crowded that the band couldn't play their instruments through the last chorus.

Found out about them like 30 minutes ago from this thread, already bought 6 of their songs. Thanks for this.

EDIT: They remind me of Young the Giant in the best of ways.
