I literally can't say enough good things about this record. I think the fact that my Fleetwood-loving parents, my more pop radio-locked brother, and my friends that span their influences from Jack White to Purity Ring all enjoy this band speaks volumes to how they can combine sounds without sounding trying or insincere. I think, in terms of my favorite pop/rock albums this year, it beats The 1975 in terms of conciseness and challenges bands like Bastille and Arctic Monkeys for best singles.
Seriously, if you read Blake's review and you're on the fence, just buy it. Take it for a drive, preferably somewhere warm. Thank me later.
