My history with them is kind of weird I guess. I absolutely loveFever and find it ridiculously unique, creative, and innovative. I think Pretty Odd is ridiculously boring, and that Vices had potential and is a good record but rather forgettable. I really like the direction taken here and think that - between the vocal style and instrumentation - it is executed very well. One thing about them is that they have no desire to make the same record twice, which is very commendable in my mind. Unlike say Mayday Parade.
Funny, I agree with Fever and would agree with PO if I hadn't revisited it a year or so ago and gotten really into it. The way you think about Vices is pretty much what I think about the new one. and I feel about that the same way you seem to feel about this. I agree with your last statement though.

This album sounds a lot like The Killers with the over saturation of synth and while it's good, it doesn't wow me. The highs here are lower than the highs on each of their others and the lows are higher than previous lows. Good album but only a few songs will stick past a week.
You think there were worse songs on Fever and Vices than Miss Jackson?

Miss Jackson is one I like on this album and Fever doesn't really have lows, but I would consider Hurricane and Let's Kill Tonight worse than Girl That You Love.
Man, I'd take both Let's Kill Tonight and Hurricane over at least half of this album. and GTYL > Miss Jackson. Miss Jackson's the worst Panic song Urie's ever sung imo.

I can't decide if Miss Jackson or Girl That You Love are worst but IMO GTYL it's only bad because of the lackluster chorus, i like the concept of the song.
Miss Jackson easily for me, GTYL is bland and like you said definitely could use a better chorus but I like the idea of that song and it only bores me, Miss Jackson is actively bad.

I like this album a lot but it's still my least favourite of theirs.

I don't agree but bumping this to say its a close second. So fun, so focused. Only track I don't vibe with is "Nicotine."
Nicotines probably my second favourite on the album. I still think Ms Jackson is garbage though and I never got much into Girl You Love. Plus as much as I like this album I still think it's their weakest.

Haha I like "Miss Jackson," I think "Hallelujah"is way worse in comparison. I like "Girl You Love" too...reminds me of The Faint. Still, nothing tops "Vegas Lights" and "Casual Affair."
Hallelujah's definitely worse but I didn't think that was possible when I heard "Ms Jackson", haha. At least "Ms Jackson" has verses with a decent melody though. "Casual Affair" and "The End of All Things" are probably my joint favourites from Too Weird.
