Ya I'm on board again. This is seriously catchy, kinda miss the gruff vocals but meh, pretty easy to overlook.

some songs on this record are really out of this world good. other ones – mainly siouxsie jeanne – i don't really understand yet. there are parts here that are catchier than any other PBC release and will yip did an awesome job, it sounds fantastic.

Yeah Souixsie Jean is abysmal. The rest of the album is very good though

I like Souixsie jean as an interlude, helps tie the album together.

I'll have to check this out. I enjoy sometimes things just disappear and the redder the better far more than their last two albums though.

This album was fine..but just fine. Never hit me the way Clash Battle Guilt Pride did. Still love this band and I'm sure these songs will be killer live

Aside from the change in vocal style, the main problem here is a lack of good pop-punk songwriting. While the lyrics are fine for the most part, there weren't any hooks that stuck out, and that's an essential part of the pop-punk genre in my opinion.

Jimmy's new vocal style works so well with them. I still listen to this on a pretty consistent basis. I love it!

I'm sorry but I gave this album several listens and attempts and don't understand how anybody who loves Polar Bear Club can think this is a good album. It has very few moments and is honestly just bubble gum crap compared to anything else they have put out. It's unfortunate Jimmy can't sing like he used to but to honestly go from one extreme to the other is ridiculous. Not everyone can keep their vocals as harsh as Chuck Ragan for their career but your telling me that he can't at least sing like Brian Fallon and have some sort of gruffness. What made Polar Bear Club great was the clean to hardcore punk style singing and post hardcore/punk style playing and this record has none of that. It's a deliberate attempt at pop-punk. I enjoy many pop punk bands but to be something your not and force this record is what bothered me about PBC on Death Chorus. I almost always agree with you on your reviews but I'm sorry I just can't with this one. It's also taken me this long to go back to this album over and over and see if I can enjoy it and respond to this review.
