Awesome! I might check it out tonight then. I'm pretty new to most styles of electronic music, so recommendations are always appreciated haha

Actually, what would you recommend for someone who likes Burial and Crystal Castles? I've been looking for another album that's sorta dark and haunting lately, they're always good to study to!

I haven't been able to stop listening to this since my first listen. I'm a big fan of the widescreen production, and this may be his best release to date.

Give Zomby a shot. Jake was a big fan of his last record (With Love) and reviewed it, and he's been consistently good-to-great since he started. Forest Swords is not really too close in sound but has that same kind of "darkness" y'know? Give his album Engravings a shot (I reviewed that and it's my number 5 overall for the year). Also, Actress' LPs have all been incredible. Lemme know what you think and we can go from there - you also might want to seek out the Underground Dance Music Thread in the General forum.

In addition to what Ryan said, check out the album Room(s) by Machinedrum. That was one of my big gateway albums into this scene

Thanks guys. I've taken a listen to Actress' Caves of Paradise, Zomby's With Love and Forest Sword's Ljoss. Forest Sword reminds me of some of Akira Yamaoka's work on SH3. It all sounds really good and I think I'll check out their respective albums! Nothing quite like Burial's Fostercare or Crystal Castles's Sad Eyes though.
