Mrs. Skannotto announces spring U.S. tour and new CD
11-song release planned for March; tour to cross the country in April & May

Rochester, N.Y. — Alternative ska-rock band Mrs. Skannotto is announcing its spring 2014 tour, in support of its new album, “Outlier.” Teamed up with the Mad Caddies, the 20-city tour will kick off in Reno, Nevada on April 2 and wrap in New York City on May 16.

Mrs. Skannotto is dropping its sixth studio release in March. The songs were written and performed by the members of the six-piece band, who have evolved the band’s style and sound since it formation on a college campus in the early 2000s. The 2014 album will feature 10 new songs plus a new take on Peter Gabriel’s “Games Without Frontiers.”

The band is continually building its nationwide fanbase, heightened during a 40+-city tour in 2013 with their good friends The Toasters. They will join The Toasters for two shows in February in the tri-state area — Feb. 22 in Stanhope House in Stanhope, N.J. and Feb. 23 in Patchogue, N.Y. at 89 North Music Venue.

The members of Mrs. Skannotto are Alex Bochetto drums; Dan Carter, bass; Evan Dobbins, trombone; Mike Frederick, guitar; Joe Harmon, vocals; and Justin Lloyd, trumpet.

“This album is a coming of age for us, as it was created after we did three U.S. tours together,” Lloyd said. “We’ve come to a different place, where we are innately on the same level with each other, and as a result the album feels more organic and more raw.”

Last time I saw Mad Caddies they were touring with NOFX, I suffered a cracked rib at that show. Was also the only time I've seen NOFX play The Decline in it's entirety live. Worth it.
