I only picked winners in 15 categories, managed to guess correctly on 10, pretty happy with my choices. Got all of the main categories right.

Really thought it was going to be Gravity. But either way, good show with lots of great speeches this year.

American Hustle goes 0/10. Probably deserved a lot of the nominations, but don't think it was robbed in any category either.

I actually liked Seth MacFarlane better than Ellen (don't understand why he was so panned) but she did great too. Wouldn't mind her coming back like Billy Crystal.

I think the lack of screenpay nomination was telling. Any idea if a someone has *ever* won best picture without being nominated for one of the screenplay awards? (finally made it back far enough on wikipedia. Looks like the Titanic was the last film to do so)

I think the awards it won painted a accurate picture: It was a stunning work of sound, art and directing but wasn't the best all-around film.

And yeah, between Amy and Tina doing the Golden Globes and Ellen the movie awards rocked this year

Didn't know Cumberbatch was in 12 Years. Plus Star Trek and The Hobbit, and his Sherlock gig, that's a busy year for him

How often do films win best picture and best director? When Gravity won director I had a feeling it wouldn't get picture.

Almost always. Good year for a split, though. Gravity is a crazy achievement yet its thin story definitely not best picture worthy.
