Not really a virus ... it's an OpenSSL bug.
Came here to say this. This is, in almost every way, worse than a virus because of how low-level this is for everything on the web.

Changed so many of my passwords just now.
Only do that if the site tells you they fixed it. Otherwise its pointless.

Eh, better to be safe than sorry. I didn't mind. It was about time I changed most of them anyway.
You shouldn't because if the site or service hasn't patched their OpenSSL that new password isn't secure.

I think this is a great reminder that you should use a password manager like Last Pass or 1password. Let it create random passwords for you and use the manager when needed.
