Improvement over any other late night performances. Very very well done.

Those back up vocals though... Ouch.

Holy. Fuck. They killed it. And whoever mixed all those instruments, deserves a promotion. Goes to show you that tv performances don't always have to be terrible...

Would have preferred to hear something else but I knew this would be what they played, still a great song and great performance.

Yeah. Everything else was top notch, but those backing vocals? Alex's voice seemed really really weak.

Am I the only one who found it boring and awful? The levels are garbage and there was no energy.

For live tv I thought the levels sounded great. I am by no means a sound engineer or anything though, but I have for sure heard way worse. I thought this was a great performance. It's a sober song, not much movement needed.

Even then, it was lacking emotion. There was too much bass, not enough keys and lead guitar.

I figured this would be the song they played, but wasn't expecting the strings. Nice touch and a great performance. The new record is fantastic.

It's a pretty emotional song, which I think you could see in Brian's facial expressions and body language. I could feel his sadness (obviously about his divorce) when he sang "and maybe you needed a change..and maybe I was in the way"...great song, great performance, great album....can't wait to see them in San Diego in a few months!

So good. Brian and this band are true one-offs. Noisey interview is prob my fave interview I've read this year.
