That's awesome. I never previously got into Valencia but I'm really digging "Where Did You Go" right now, and that quote/interview makes me want to get into them even more. I'm officially looking forward to their album.

Not really.. I met them/saw them for the first time in the fall/early winter of 2004. They were playing a lot of shows in Philly in front of like 15 people. They've worked their asses off for the last 4 years to get to where they are now.

i love these guys. i remember in the beginning the night i heard the first 4 demos they ever wrote. markie their old drummer brought me outside of a show at the newtown athletics club where we were both playing that night. we listened to the 4 songs including "que sera sera, eagle mount drive, hey man what are you doing, and for some reason right now i can't remember the 4th... which in time got them signed to isurrender.. we all knew years ago how big valencia would become and it's truly been a pleasure to watch them grow. they're not to be written off or lumped into the scene and forgotten, shane has greatness in him, they're going places.. just watch..

I remember asking them to do shows for 50 bucks back in the day. Mad props.
