With Daytrader's sudden demise, I feared we'd lost one of the scene's most promising vocalists. Silly me - Tym had a plan all along. Teaming with visual artist/guitarist Daniel Danger, the duo formed Some Stranger and went to work. The band will digitally release their debut EP on April 2, along with a vinyl pressing via Robotic Empire on April 30 (pre-orders available here). PropertyOfZack has a new "Behind The Booth" feature today with Tym's (ex-Daytrader) new band Some Stranger. The feature contains a video, some photos, and info on the new project.

We were just notified by Tym from Daytrader that he will not be finishing the dates on Daytrader's current tour and that he will be leaving the band. It is unclear at this point what the future of Daytrader will be. Check out Tym's statement below.

The Jealous Sound is heading out on tour this fall and they're taking Daytrader with them. Rise Records will be releasing a limited edition tour 7" featuring tracks from both bands. You can peep the tour dates and press release in the replies.

As we posted a couple days ago, Refused played a secret garage show in Brooklyn to 100 people right after selling out the 3,000-capacity Terminal 5 in New York City on Sunday. A good friend of the program, Daytrader vocalist Tym (he doesn't have a last name, deal with it), managed to catch both shows. Want to know what it was like? Refused played a secret show tonight in a garage called The Acheron in Brooklyn, N.Y. If you check out tweets, you can see some pictures that people took. Only about 100 people saw the set. Our good friend Tym (vocalist, Daytrader) managed to catch the show, so you can expect a guest blog from him about it on AP.net within the next couple of days. Sounds like it was a good time.
