Looks like Death Grips will not be playing Lollapalooza.
Last night, Death Grips were tapped to play an officially sanctioned Lollapalooza aftershow at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. They didn't show up. According to several reports from Reddit and Twitter, after learning that the band wouldn't play, fans proceeded to destroy their equipment, including a drum kit that was presumably Zach Hill's. [...] According to Lollapalooza's representatives, the band "chose not to arrive in Chicago" and will not play the festival.

In the replies, you can watch Pitchfork's recent interview with Death Grips in which they discuss what's in store for the band's future.
From The InterviewA lot of things have to be determined that aren't that interesting-- figuring out how we're going to [move forward]. And whether we're going to do that ourselves, or who's going to do that with us, based on our actions of purposefully trying to get out of the record deal we're exiting right now.
