Erykah Badu has shared a new track called "Phone Down," dedicating it to "Aubrey." Lots of people think that she means her noted friend Drake, but the credits list an Aubrey Davis as being the person behind the concept of the song, so who knows! Anyway, listen to the stellar track in the replies.

Hit the replies to watch Sufjan Stevens cover Drake's "Hotline Bling."
Jason Tate on 11/02/15 - 10:36 AM
Drake's "Hotline Bling" video debuted last week on Apple Music and seemed like it would push the single to be Drake's first ever solo #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (how crazy is it that he's never had one?), which he was very excited about. It turns out that Apple Music does not report video streams to the charts, and so the song remained at #2 behind The Weeknd's "The Hills." Even worse for Drake, Adele's new single "Hello" broke Vevo records upon it's debut and seems poised to debut at #1 off the strength of those views and strong digital sales. The last time Drake had a single this close to #1 was 2009; maybe it'll happen in 2021. (H/T Stereogum)

Drake has dropped the video to his massively popular hit "Hotline Bling," available exclusively on Apple Music.

Drake has given his first extended interview since a 2014 Rolling Stone piece for the Fader's 100th print issue. The excellent piece covers everything from his upcoming album Views From The 6 (which is going to be made primarily with longtime producer 40), his beef with Meek Mill and ghostwriting allegations, charges of being an opportunist and more. Check it out here.

Drake and Future have dropped their collaborative mixtape What A Time To Be Alive. The eleven track project is available exclusively on iTunes and Apple Music for the next week before being made available elsewhere.
Ryan Dennehy on 09/21/15 - 06:25 AM
Update: Drake has shared what looks like the mixtape's cover on Instagram, and revealed the title to be What A Time To Be Alive, available on iTunes at 8 pm tomorrow following a special edition of his OVO Sound Radio featuring FreeBandz on Beats 1 at 6 pm.

Rumors have been flying for more than a week now about a potential collaborative mixtape between Drake and Future, and it appears that Drake confirmed the project exists last night and suggested it is coming Sunday at a performance in Atlanta.
Ryan Dennehy on 09/19/15 - 05:38 AM
Playing a little bit of catch up here, but Future shares videos for so many tracks that it can be hard to keep up. Most recently, he's shared videos for the Drake-assisted "Where Ya At," which features some of the most inspirational dance moves of the year, "Blood On The Money," and even bonus track "Kno The Meaning." All three come from the incredible Dirty Sprite 2, and word has it that a video for "Rich $ex" is on it's way soon. In the meantime, check out the great videos in the replies.

Drake continues to prove how indomitable he is right now - every single song from If You're Reading This It's Too Late has entered the Billboard Hot Hip-Hop/R&B Chart, giving him a grand total of 21 songs appearing on the chart, which works out to 42% of the chart. This breaks his own record of 14 songs on the chart at one time (which he matched last week), to give you an idea of how insane this is.

According to Hits Daily Double, Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late is predicted to be the #1 album this week with 497,602 units sold. Take that, Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.

An unfinished Drake song has leaked onto the internet with the title "Views From The 6," which is also the name of his reported upcoming album. It features an unknown rapper by the name of E Batt, and while it was speculated that he was the one behind the leak, he has since come out and said it wasn't him. You can hear the track over at Stereogum, though I wouldn't expect it to be up for long.

In what might be my favorite piece of tour novelties ever, Drake and Lil Wayne have released a Capcom-developed app based on Street Fighter called "DvsLW" to accompany their upcoming "Drake VS. Lil Wayne Tour." The app will apparently allow the crowd at the tour to "power up" the rappers during a rap battle portion of the concert by button mashing. They're also including trading cards featuring the rappers in the tours VIP packages.

Following Drake's "incident" last week the Toronto Raptors distributed 1,200 free OVO/Drake-branded lint rollers during game five of their playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets last night. Life has begun to parody itself and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Welcome to hip-hop in 2014: on the newest DJ Khaled track "They Don't Love You No More," Jay Z raps "Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my drawstring / Wrong sport boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team," in a possible Drake diss. This didn't go over well with Major League Lacrosse, who took the opportunity to lambast Hov, claiming that he "wouldn't last one minute on a lacrosse field," and go on to say "he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try."
Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet. Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour.
With that said we donít think Jay-Z knows what heís talking about when he calls...

The fifth annual OVO Fest, taking place in Toronto and put on by the city's own Drake, is the latest festival to announce Outkast as headliners. The recently reunited duo will headline the August 3rd date at Molson Ampitheatre. Special guests are yet to be announced, but when I attended last year Kanye West, TLC, A$AP Rocky, and Lil Wayne (among many many others) performed unannounced. I'm sure the milestone fifth year will be even more jampacked and thrilling. Tickets are on sale February 21st.

Drake has taken to his blog to apologize for his comments regarding Rolling Stone's decision to replace him on cover with the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
After dwelling on it for a few hours or days you will come to the conclusion that you brought it on yourself almost every time. So here I am having that moment. I once again apologize to everybody who took my cover comments the wrong way. I respect Rolling Stone for being willing to give a kid from Toronto a shot at the cover. I guess this is a day to learn and grow.
Drew Beringer on 02/14/14 - 01:19 AM
Drake was due to appear on the cover of the newest issue of Rolling Stone (the magazine teased its interview with him yesterday), but RS ended up using the cover to pay tribute to the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Drake isn't happy about that, tweeting that not only were his comments about Yeezus not intended for print, but the following as well:
They also took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue. .... I'm disgusted with that. RIP to Phillip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil.
