The Vaccines' debut album has been announced as the Xfm "New Music Award" winner. The award was decided by a panel of judges featuring Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Dom Howard and Chris Wolstenholme (Muse), Tom Smith (Editors), Tim Burgess (The Charlatans), Charlie Fink (Noah and The Whale), Craig Potter (Elbow) as well Xfm radio hosts. Editors can be seen performing "An End has a Start" live on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in the replies. The track is taken from the quartet's latest release of the same name, which is available now via Epic Records.
Editors will be releasing their sophomore album, An End Has A Start, in the U.S. on July 17th. In order to push the disc on this side of the globe, the band will be doing some tour dates, which you can see below, and appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on July 26th.
Editors will be releasing their latest single "Blood" in June. The 10" vinyl will be released with a cover of Talking Heads' "Road To Nowhere" along with Jason Pierce's remix of "Camera", while the CD will have their cover of REM's "Orange Crush", a Paul Oakenfold remix of "Camera", and the video for "Blood."
