It’s difficult, especially today because I feel like the education system, media, and the museums feel the need to make the sciences about “little explosions!” and “mixing this liquid with that liquid, woo!”. I think the most exciting thing for me is learning about stuff like cosmology, stuff that makes us feel really small and insignificant, that’s the most empowering thing.

I defy anyone to have their scrotum grabbed and not lash out instinctively...

Obviously violence is never the answer and I'm very unhappy personally with how I acted. I should have left the crowd and headed back to stage immediately when this started happening but due to the density of the crowd and the intensity of the situation things played out differently, I'm only human.

Enter Shikari have released a statement regarding yesterday's For Today incident.
StatementYesterday, the guitarist from ‘christian metalcore’ band For Today (a band Enter Shikari have previous toured the US alongside) made a series of offensive tweets of his thoughts on the ‘sin’ of homosexuality. such statements should not be allowed to pass without being commented upon and having a light shone on them, and – thankfully – a lot of artists and journalists have spoken out against his comments. Rou wanted to share his own thoughts….

Like most sane people I was completely knocked for six by this statement from… no, not a mentally deranged ageing goofball politician, or a fundamentalist...
