Half Hearted Hero - Whatever (Thomas Nassiff)

This is a good one, you guys. When I first heard Half Hearted Hero's upcoming album Whatever a few months ago, I was floored. I don't listen to a ton of pop-punk anymore, but this album had me instantly hooked. So I'm incredibly happy that we're exclusively premiering the album today, which you can stream here. It's bound to be one of 2013's early surprises - it's hard for me to compare it to any band, but I would imagine many of you will dig this, especially if you're a fan of The Wonder Years and the like. The album is set to release on January 15th via Animal Style Records, and you can pre-order it here. Let us know what you think the album in the replies.

PropertyOfZack is premiering a brand new song from Half Hearted Hero titled "River" here. It's off the band's upcoming January release Whatever, which, in my opinion, is one of the better pop-punk albums I've heard in a while.

Today we're happy to announce the release information of Half Hearted Hero's upcoming album via Animal Style Records. Whatever was produced by the band and recorded and mixed by guitarist Clinton Lisboa and Ben Barnett. The album was mastered by Jay Maas (Defeater, Have Heart, Transit, Title Fight). The band are planning a ten day tour in January leading up to the record's release. For fans of Slick Shoes and Set Your Goals, an album teaser can be found in the replies.

The 180 gram vinyl re-issue of Half Hearted Hero's Defining. Refining. is now available from Secret Audio Club.

Today we've got a song stream from pop-punk quintet Half Hearted Hero. The band most recently released their Running Water EP in April 2011 via Animal Style, but recently entered the studio to record a new full-length. You can listen to "Vessel," the first song released from those recordings, on the band's AP.net Profile or in the replies. The group hasn't completely finished the album, but it's expected to come out later this fall, so get your first taste of its new material and leave your thoughts in the replies. Recommended for fans of the band's New Bedford brethren A Wilhelm Scream, and a more original take on the musicianship present in most punk rock.

Half Hearted Hero will release their new EP, Running Water, on April 5, but you can stream the entire thing on their AP.net profile. Imagine the fast-paced bands of the new breed of pop punk like Set Your Goals or Fireworks mixed with those from the genre's yesteryear such as Slick Shoes and Student Rick and you have a pretty good idea of what's in store.
