Mae are writing and hoping to record and release new music before their tour starts in May.
Now that these seven shows are done and we're back to home life, I did put out an email to the five of us this past week requesting a conference call so we can talk about these songs we started writing and recording, but haven't finished yet. We all love what we got and believe in it, but now it's about finding the time to get into the studio and finish these songs.

Read my review and look at my pictures from Mae's The Everglow 10th anniversary tour stop in Worcester, MA. At the show, the band announced that they hope to have new material out later this year.
The Everglow 10th anniversary tour seems to be have rejuvenated Mae. While they have always been open to playing together again, they're officially working on new material now. Elkins told the audience that they would be taking the anniversary tour around the country later in the year and hope to have new music out before 2015 is over.

Zach from Mae has written a blog about his favorite Mae album: Singularity.
After all, if I could designate any period of time which could be attributed to a negative turning point in Mae’s tenure, it would be associated with the recording and release of Singularity, and the subsequent tour. Aside from the biographical events, the songs and sonic characteristics of this particular record don’t immediately bring to mind feelings up triumph or any elevated accomplishments. Of course, in a certain sense, the writing, recording, and release of any body of songs is an accomplishment, but with Singularity, the accomplishment registered is not similar to that of The Everglow. Furthermore, the...

PropertyOfZack recently sat down with Dave Elkins (Mae; Schematic) and they talked about the upcoming Destination: Beautiful Tour and more.
I do know that if we’re going to do Destination: Beautiful, more people know Mae for The Everglow than Destination: Beautiful so it would not make sense to do DB and not do The Everglow. So in 2015 we’d have to re-approach that again. We’ve sat across a table over the last several weeks and said, “Well hey, if we did this again what would we want it to look and feel like?” All we know is that when we get together, and we plug in and we play, that’s what feels right. All the business that happens in the middle of it, it just feels right. When you get...
