Jonah Matranga (Far, Gratitude) and Ian Love (Rival Schools) have teamed up to form I Is Another. The band will release their first album on 6/24 via Siren Records, which will be available as a 2x7" (now available for pre-order). More information in the replies.

Members of Thursday, Rival Schools, Small Brown Bike, Retisonic, and Atlantic/Pacific have formed a band called States & Kingdoms. You can stream a rough demo of a new song entitled "Wishful Thinking" in the replies.

Rival Schools have signed to Photo Finish/Atlantic Records. The band will release their sophomore full-length later this year.

Photo Finish Records has announced their official SXSW showcase with performances by Rival Schools, Recover, Steel Train, Envy On The Coast, The Downtown Fiction, and a very special surprise guest. The event is free and open to the public. See the replies for the official event poster.

It looks like Rival Schools will be reuniting for shows in Europe and America this summer as well as a new album in the works for next year, according to this interview.

We have got this June tour and we still want to play some shows in the States. Especially if we are writing new songs it would be good to live in them a little onstage before we come to record anything. Whether the album is out first part of the year or spring we are not yet sure but we want to play out with new material to test it all out so expect a few more dates to be announced.
