It's a big week for Max Bemis (Say Anything) as the first issue of his new comic book series, Polarity, hits stores today. We haven't heard too much from him recently as he's been busy with the comic series, his numerous musical projects, and, you know, being a new dad. Luckily, Max was able to find some precious free time last week to speak with me about what it's like being a new father and how Polarity came to be, as well as some very informative updates about his projects, especially a peak into what we should expect on the next Say Anything record and how the AP.net community influenced it.
And also, just sonically, and I know I’m being a tease, but there’s definitely going to...

The band will hit the studio to record it after the Perma record is out.

This week I explore the functioning behind the great wars of our vast comment sections. As a site built around discussion on a number of topics, has AbsolutePunk opened you up to new views you wouldn't otherwise see? How many times have you opened up to another user's opinion on an album or song or artist and gave it a second shot with different results? Do you generally take a publication's word on an album review, or do your friends and own expectations matter more? I'm interested to know how many of you rely on media outlets and how many of you have outgrown them over the years...well, to an extent of course.
Max Bemis said the other night at the House of Blues in Boston that Say Anything will be releasing a box set of all of their unreleased albums and songs (including Baseball) next year and they will most likely be playing a tour based on mostly old material.
